Founded in 1948, the Universidad de los Andes, located in Bogotá, the capital of Colombia is a private lay institution which promotes autonomy, responsibility and openness of mind within its community. Since 1972, the Universidad de los Andes School of Management has developed, through its academic programs and research activities, a consolidated school that promotes constant interaction between students, teachers, staff and the corporate world. The school’s objective is to educate socially responsible people that embrace an international perspective and that are capable of creating, understanding and furthering the advancement of organizations. It enrols more than 800 students in both graduate and undergraduate programs and attracts more than 4,000 participants each year through its executive education programs. The School is conformed by 50 full time professors and an outstanding group of adjunct professors. Among its full time faculty, 50% have a Doctorate degree and 100% have a Masters degree in various disciplines. The UniAndes School of Management is committed to research and teaching. Since the EQUIS accreditation in 2003, the School has received many international students for its undergraduate and MBA program from countries such as Germany, France, Spain, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Uruguay, Bolivia, Peru and others. The School offers international students scholarships and support. Currently, it offers exchange programs with recognized business and management schools in Europe, United States, Latin America, China and Australia. In 2004 the MBA received the AMBA (Association of MBA’s) Accreditation, giving the program and its six modalities the possibility to be included as a competitive choice for international students.
