International Students

The Master of Marketing is aimed at professionals with at least two years of work experience who are looking to acquire or develop the competencies and skills needed for success in the field of marketing, ensuring an upward career trajectory.

Its design, methodologies, and curriculum are backed by the international standards of excellence of two of the foremost educational accreditations worldwide: AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System, granted by EFMD). 

Student Profile

International applicants must fulfill certain requirements on the established dates to complete the admissions process for the master’s.

Admissions Calendar

Applications are currently being accepted to start classes in August 2015, with deadlines indicated in the calendar below.


A. Application: Fill out application, pay application fee, and submit all required documents to formally initiate your admissions process to the program.

Below are the documents that must be submitted in full to the Admissions Office before the application deadline. Keep in mind that you may also send them in a sealed envelope by registered mail to Cra 1 No. 19 - 27 edificio AU oficina 103 - La Liga, addressed to Jair Mojica Calderón - Centro de Contacto - Facultad de Administración.

1.    Application form filled out online and printed (Go to form).

  • The form must be completely filled out online, printed, and submitted with the other documents.

2.    Two (2) photographs, including the one on the form, with your name written on the back

3.    Application fee receipt: Applicants must pay the nonrefundable application fee of COP 350,000. Payment must be made by credit card (not Diners) by clicking here, taking into account the exchange rate of the dollar and calculating the value in Colombian pesos.

4.   Diplomas or graduation certificates accrediting your undergraduate degrees (notarized copies or with original apostille)

5.   Official undergraduate transcript for each semester with overall weighted average (copies with original apostille)

6.    Resume that includes work history from the past four jobs (company, position, time, and brief description of duties), skills, and characteristics

7.  A letter of recommendation from a supervisor or professor filled out on the attached form, sent in an envelope sealed and signed by the evaluator. Download the recommendation form here.

B. Exam: Take the exam administered by the Universidad de los Andes on the specified dates. International students may submit their GMAT or GRE scores, provided the scores are less than two years old.

  • In order to avoid having to come to Bogotá, international students must schedule their exam in their country of residence and contact the Tecnológico de Monterrey by calling +52 (81) 8358 2000 to find out if there are any authorized testing centers in their country of residence to take the PAEP and then schedule the exam for a date close to when it will be administered in Bogotá in order to meet the deadlines for the submission of results and completion of the admissions process.

C. Personal Interview 

To be conducted with the Program Director and/or tenured professors from the School. The interview may also be done via Skype for those who find themselves outside of the country.

Once these three steps have been completed, the Graduate Admissions Committee of the School of Management individually analyzes each application to determine admission to the program.


Visa Information for Studying at Uniandes

If you are an international student and are admitted to the program, please note that according to Decree 4000 of November 30, 2004 and Resolution 4700 of November 25, 2009, issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, you are required to have a Student Visa or other type of visa that allows you to study. Once the visa is issued, you must present it at teller windows 2 or 3 in the Admissions Office or send an email to nm.carvajal54@uniandes.edu.co in order to fulfill this requirement before printing your registration receipt.

Be sure to give yourself sufficient time when beginning the procedure for applying for a visa in order to avoid any problems with the registration payment.

English Requirement

Upon program completion, students must certify their knowledge and skills in English through one of the following certificates: TOEFL (80/120 minimum), IELTS (6.5/9 minimum), or through an exam offered by the University. To this end, the University offers elective courses in English through the Department of Languages and Sociocultural Studies during the program to help students meet this requirement.
