International Offerings

EMBA students have access to various international opportunities that the School of Management offers through partnerships that it has established with business and management schools around the world.

Global MBA

The School of Management at the Universidad de los Andes entered into a partnership with the IESA (Venezuela), ITAM (Mexico), and Tulane (U.S.) universities to offer the GLOBAL MBA program to MBA students and recent graduates who hold or seek leadership positions in organizations. Students who graduate from this program receive the Master of Business Administration degree from the School as well as a Master of Global Management degree awarded by Tulane University.

The Global MBA offers an international approach to the management of organizations and allows for a global perspective through real-life business cases focused on strategy. In addition, students are presented with the challenge of building strategic teams and developing international leadership through teamwork in a unique and multicultural cohort.

The program consists of six courses in English of one week each held quarterly in different cities and countries over a period of 18 months. These courses focus on international leadership, team building, and overall business strategy. During the module, an international marketing and business valuation project is carried out.
Candidates must be MBA students or graduates from the past 5 years of the participating universities, have at least 3 years of work experience, and be fluent in English. Students who enroll in the dual degree program must fulfill the requirements for both degrees in order to receive them.

Contests and Competitions

Students in the MBA program of the School of Management are ardent enthusiasts of the most important business plan competitions in the world, and they participate to win, as happened in March 2007 in the McGinnis Venture Competition - Carnegie Mellon University in the Life Sciences category, with the team of students from the EMBA ranking first among 24 competitors from around the world.
