Admission process

Consists of 3 basic steps:

    • Application: fill out the admission form, submit the required documentation and register.
    • Admission Test: take the test (PAEP) administered by Universidad de los Andes on the dates established for it. Other tests that are considered valid are GMAT and GRE, as long as they are less than two years old. According to the results obtained, the candidates will access the next step in the process.
  • Personal Interview: with the Program Director and / or School professors’

PAEP Test:

To prepare for the exam, applicants have:

  • Practice test on the LASPAU website
  • PAEP course
  • In the library of the School of Management you can consult the book of Practice Exercises for the PAEP test*
  • This book is also on sale in the Bookstore of Universidad de los Andes

* In the library of the School of Management there is extra material about the PAEP-LASPAU exam but this can only be consulted by students and / or graduates of the School or University

Required Documentation

Documents must be submitted in an envelope and in the following order (please refrain from submitting information in folders, binders or others):

  1. Application form filled out online and printed (Go to form)
    a. The form must be completely filled out online, printed, and submitted with the other documents.
    b. If you filled out the form in the past, you must fill it out and print it again (each form is valid only for the date on which it is filled out and printed).
  2. Two (2) photographs, including the one on the form, with your name written on the back
  3. Application fee receipt: applicants must pay the nonrefundable application fee of COP 420,000. Payment can be made either online by clicking here ("Uniandes Platform") or via bank deposit
  4. Certified copies of diplomas or graduation certificates accrediting your undergraduate degrees
  5. Official undergraduate transcripts with weighted average
  6. Resume that includes work history from the past four jobs (company, position, time, and brief description of duties), noteworthy skills and personal characteristics, and academic information not included in the application
  7. An 800 to 1,000 word essay that touches on the following questions: Who am I? What are my strengths and weaknesses? What is my plan for personal and professional development? What role does an MBA play in this process?
  8. A letter of recommendation from a supervisor or professor filled out on the attached form, sent in an envelope sealed and signed by the evaluator. Download the recommendation form here.

These documents must be submitted at the Centro de Atención Integrada (CAI), Calle 18A # 0-33 Este, Bloque E, piso 1, Bogotá, Colombia (open Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.).

*Additional information for Foreign Applicants:

  • It is mandatory that foreign students who are going to study in Colombia, have a Student Visa (Type V) or another type of Visa that allows them to study
  • The visa must be presented to the Office of Admissions and Registration (window 4), or sent to in order to comply with this requirement
  • It is important to complete this procedure before printing your tuition receipt
  • The current Colombian Law requires that foreigners who have a visa issued for more than 3 months, must carry the cédula de extranjería as an identity document, therefore it is necessary that you also have this requirement 
  • Remember that these procedures take time. Make your visa application with a reasonable time in order to avoid inconveniences with your tuition payment
