Admission criteria

  • Students who have graduated from high school in Colombia must present their Prueba Saber 11° (ICFES State exam) scores. Given the structure of the Prueba Saber 11° there is no minimum score for enrollment. Registration does not guarantee admission to the University.
  • Students (Colombian and foreign) graduated abroad can enroll if they have high school diplomas or international tests accepted by the University (for more information, in Spanish, click here)
  • Colombian or foreign students that have taken and passed at least two semesters (with official transcripts) at another university in the country or abroad can enroll through the External Transfer process.
  • Universidad de Los Andes does not interview candidates as part of its admissions process.

If you are foreign student, you must have a student visa or other type of visa that allows you to study in the country, according to Decree 1067 of the 26th of May 2015 and Resolution 714 of the 25th of June 2015 issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A copy of your visa must be presented at the Admissions & Registrar’s Office window to 2 and/or 3 or be sent by mail to extranjerosuniandes@uniandes.edu.co, in order to fulfill the legal requirement before printing your receipt for payment of the enrollment fee.
