The challenges that organizations are currently facing are completely different from those in the 70s’ and 80s’. Tackling fast changes and learning processes are the most challenging problems modern knowledge managers face. Today’s environment –global competition, ethical issues, fast advance in IT and employee demands for creative work and doors for personal and professional development– require entirely different responses from organizations. Patterns used in the past, don’t satisfy the guidance needs of today’s organization. The course ‘Critical Analysis of Marketing Strategies…’ will explore new concepts for managers to successfully manage a modern learning company.
Vlado Dimovski is Full Professor of Management and Organizational Theory at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. He holds a PhD in Management and Finance from Cleveland State University. Dimovski has been State Secretary for Industry (1995-1997) and Minister of Labor, Family and Social Affairs in the Government of Slovenia (2000-2004). His research interests include organizational learning, leadership, competitiveness and knowledge management. Throughout his career, he has received several awards like the Harvard Directory of Scholars (1993).
