Job Qualifications:

The School of Management at the University of Los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia) seeks applications to fill one full-time position at the assistant or associate professor level at the Management and Public Policy Unit. The Unit houses scholars interested in management theory (organization theory and organizational/management economics); innovation and technology; business and economic history; family business; cultural industries; and business ethics. Within these themes, scholars focus on individuals and teams within organizations, the relationship between organizations and types of organizations, and the role of public policy in the performance of organizations. Preference will be given to faculty with a strong commitment to research, demonstrated by a record of publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals or high-potential working papers pipeline, and who will engage in the design, delivery, and assessment of courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. This call will prioritize high quality candidates who will strengthen our existing fields but will also consider applications from high quality candidates in other relevant fields.

We are interested in candidates with:

A Ph.D. – completed or near completion in the field of business, management, economics, history or other relevant fields.

A desire and aptitude to contribute to a successful and fast-growing educational establishment.

Potential for research and publication in international peer-reviewed journals.

An ability to contribute to different undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

The School of Management at Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia) seeks applications to fill one full-time position at the assistant or associate level to strengthen its Strategy and Entrepreneurship academic area and make significant contributions to the group’s research, applied projects and teaching activities. The School provides conference and research funding, an initial teaching load reduction for junior researchers, and a vibrant cultural environment.

Job qualifications

Candidates must have earned a PhD degree (or be near completion) in strategy, international management, entrepreneurship, innovation management or related disciplines. They are expected to show a clear commitment to research and actively contribute to the design, delivery and assessment of courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. While the focus of the position will be on research and teaching, candidates are also expected to demonstrate an interest in evolving its career towards Executive Education and consultancy activities.
The School welcomes applicants with specific academic interests in strategy, innovation and international business. Teaching activities involve, among others, courses on Strategy, Entrepreneurship, International Business, and Business environment.

Preference will be given to candidates with a record of publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals and the desire to shape the development of a successful and fast-growing School of Management.

he School of Management at Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia) seeks applications to fill several full-time positions at the assistant or associate professor level in Entrepreneurship. Preference will be given to faculty with a strong commitment to research in this field, demonstrated by a record of publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, and to those who demonstrate interest in engaging in the design, delivery, and assessment of courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. This call will prioritize candidates with solid research in innovation-driven entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial ecosystems, entrepreneurial mindset, social capital, decision-making, process and scaling. According to the candidate’s qualifications, we will consider other fields such as innovation management, regional development, small business and other related areas.

Aspiring junior researchers must have earned a Ph.D. degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or other related fields, or be near completion of the Ph.D., and have a demonstrated record of publications in quality peer-reviewed journals. We are also open to successful mid-career candidates who could qualify for the level of Associate Professor. Entrepreneurial experience and a relevant professional network will be a plus.
