The School of Management at Universidad de los Andes invites applications for the position of Distinguished Professional in the area of Finance. This position involves teaching responsibilities equivalent to those of full-time faculty members, with a strong emphasis on professional experience, industry engagement, and the development of innovative teaching materials and methodologies derived from real-world practice. The role is designed for professionals with significant experience in public service or the business sector and with strong connections to private and public organizations or other key stakeholders relevant to the School.

Requirements:

• Solid knowledge in accounting and finance. – Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. – Proven ability and/or experience in consulting projects. – Experience in or interest in knowledge transfer and teaching. – Full-time or part-time renewable one-year contract.

Responsibilities:

• Teaching load: 15 credits per year for full-time positions and 8 credits for part-time. – Development of pedagogical materials (e.g., case studies, experiential challenges) based on professional experience and interaction with external stakeholders. – Participation in strategic activities of the School, such as teaching, research, and institutional development. – Execution of the annual work plan in coordination with the Dean’s Office. – Contribution to the development of the Finance area and active involvement in related academic activities.

Job Qualifications:

The School of Management at Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia) seeks applications for a full-time Assistant Professor position in Analytics. The ideal candidate should have experience or a strong interest in analytics, including visualization, data mining, multivariate methods, and supply chain analytics. Additionally, candidates should be proficient in programming languages commonly used in analytics, such as Python or R, and have a solid understanding of machine learning techniques and their applications in business decision-making.

Preference will be given to candidates with a clear commitment to research, particularly in the areas of applied analytics, data-driven decision-making, supply chain analytics and emerging technologies. A dedication to the continuous improvement of teaching and course content at both the undergraduate and graduate levels is also highly valued.

The Unit houses scholars interested in management theory (organization theory and organizational/management economics); innovation and technology; business and economic history; family business; cultural industries; and business ethics. Within these themes, scholars focus on individuals and teams within organizations, the relationship between organizations and types of organizations, and the role of public policy in the performance of organizations. The School of Management at Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia) seeks applications to fill one full-time position at the assistant or associate level to strengthen its Organizations academic area and make significant contributions to the group’s research, applied projects and teaching activities. The School provides conference and research funding, an initial teaching load reduction for junior researchers, opportunities for executive education and consultancy activities, and a vibrant cultural environment. Job qualifications Candidates must have earned a PhD degree (or be near completion) in organization theory, organizational behaviour, management, or related disciplines. They are expected to show a clear commitment to research in their fields and actively contribute to the design, delivery and assessment of courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. While the focus of the position will be on research and teaching, a clear commitment to institutional development and service (internally and externally) is desired.
