María Emilia Correa Pérez

María Emilia Correa is the co-founder of Sistema B, a leading organization in Latin America that promotes new economies through B Corps, fostering business models that integrate profitability with social and environmental impact. She holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from The New School for Social Research (New York) and is currently a Distinguished Professional at the School of Management of the Universidad de los Andes.

She has an extensive career at the intersection of sustainability, business, and social transformation. She has led key processes in organizations such as Grupo Nueva, where she served as the first Vice President of Sustainability, and Natura Cosméticos in Brazil, consolidating her expertise in integrating environmental and social criteria into business strategy.

Throughout her career, she has championed the role of companies as agents of change, promoting models that link economic, social, and environmental value. Her work has had a significant impact in Latin America and has been internationally recognized for her leadership in sustainability and the development of new ways of doing business.
