Expand your vision and transform your leadership and management skills to impact your organization and society with solutions.
The Executive MBA program is designed for senior executives from different functional areas of multinational companies and entrepreneurs or owners of medium and large companies. Leaders of different nationalities participate in the program, enriching the exchange of experiences and perspectives by creating a network of business and cultural contacts called the “EMBA Community.” Minimum work experience of ten (10) years (starting with your degree) and eight (8) years in managerial positions.
EMBA graduates will be part of the Universidad de los Andes alumni network, where you will have several benefits, such as exclusive job offers, support and guidance in career development, and an alumni association. Here you can find more information about the Alumni and Professional Development Office.
It is different because of the construction and transformation of responsible and sustainable leadership through a unique model created by the Faculty, known as the Leadership Compass.
Another distinctive feature is the quality of the professors, who are of high academic and practical level, and the partnership with top-level universities worldwide.
The construction of high-level networking is fundamental to developing managerial and executive skills during the program.
The EMBA is the only MBA in Colombia that is part of the top 10 ranking in America Economía. It is also the only one in Colombia supported by the world’s three most important business school accreditors: AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS, known as the Triple Crown.
EMBA alumni undergo a transformation during the program that ensures they are not the same leaders they started out as. Multinationals, national public, private, and third sector organizations, as well as entrepreneurship projects, find in EMBA graduates a professional with leadership and global perspective, which makes them coveted in the work environment.
Universidad de los Andes School of Management facilitates that, through the recognition of credits already approved in the EMBA, students can pursue other postgraduate master’s degrees or specializations in the School of Management. If you are interested in this option, you can request academic counseling after finishing the first semester of the EMBA.
The duration is 18 months, starting in January, and the schedule is Friday and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (every two weeks).
The student pays the semester payment for the number of credits he/she enrolls.
Due to the program’s teaching methodology, there is no thesis or degree project.
The international week includes: lodging, local transportation, food, and university fees.
The methodologies used in the EMBA combine, firstly, autonomous and group work and, secondly, participant-centered learning. This makes it easier for students to recognize how their learning will translate into their experiences.
Master of Business Administration
The English requirement is an exit requirement but not an entry requirement for the program. The student must take a placement test with the University’s Language Department, and depending on the result, it will be verified if he/she meets the language requirement. If not, he/she must submit the results of an international exam or take Workshop 1 or 2.
