Veneta Andonova, Dean of Universidad de los Andes School of Management, has recently been appointed as a Member of the Board of Directors of Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME). In this role, she will oversee and advise the initiative currently chaired by Tima Bansal, Professor of Sustainability in Business at Ivey Business School (Canada).
The PRME Board of Directors brings together influential members from around the world who contribute their experience and perspectives to strengthen the initiative’s vision and decision-making processes. These members include representatives from higher education institutions affiliated with PRME, student associations, UN-related organizations, leadership development associations, international academic communities, and other key stakeholders in education and sustainable development.
PRME’s mission is to transform business education to prepare today’s and tomorrow’s decision-makers for sustainable development. Its vision is to create a global movement and leadership grounded in responsible management education. Since its creation in 2007, PRME has established partnerships in more than 90 countries.
The initiative was founded to guide business schools worldwide toward education based on six principles: purpose, values, methodology, research, partnerships, and dialogue. These principles recognize the critical role business schools play in educating future leaders who must embrace responsible leadership and sustainability.
