What makes this program unique?

Exposure to best-in-class teaching and the operational expertise of world-renowned organizations gives CEMS students a golden opportunity to consolidate theoretical and experiential learning through a multi-faceted curriculum.
During the program, students are exposed to interdisciplinary challenges in an international context and are encouraged to adopt an analytical and critical attitude in lectures, discussions and project work.
CEMS MIM students spend a semester at Universidad de los Andes School of Management and spend the other semester abroad at another CEMS partner university.
The program concludes with an internship or professional (first job) experience (minimum 8 weeks) where you’ll put everything you’ve learned into practice, enriching your international perspective in a professional environment. Students are independently responsible for finding and securing an approved position that meets the program’s standards.

When does the exchange take place and can I select the destination?

The exchange destinations will be determined by a combination of preference and merit. Exchanges can take place during both, Term 1 and Term 2.

What is the program duration?

The program is structured around one semester at Universidad de los Andes, one exchange semester at another CEMS member school, and a professional experience — an internship or first job (minimum 8 weeks).

What is the program format and time commitment?

The MIM CEMS is a full-time program and comprises 40 academic credits. At Universidad de los Andes, classes can be schedule from Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm and sporadically on Saturdays.

Does the program have scholarships or financing options?

For Master’s degrees we offer help in finding scholarships, accessing bank loans, or applying for ICETEX funding. Additionally, the MIM-CEMS offers exclusive Excellence Incentives — merit-based tuition discounts ranging from 20% to 35% for students who have demonstrated outstanding performance during their undergraduate studies. How is the program paid?

Students are to pay 5% of the full tuition after acceptance to the program corresponding to the inscription payment (non-refundable). The remainder of the tuition fee shall be paid as follows: 40% before the first semester, 45% before the second semester, and the remaining 10% before the internship.

What diploma do graduates receive?

Our CEMS MIM graduates receive a “Magíster en Gerencia Internacional” from Universidad de los Andes and a graduation certificate from the CEMS Global Alliance in Management Education.
